why I get mad when people say homestuck is dominated by slash because

I’ve been in slash-dominated fandoms

Homestuck is actually one of the first fandoms I’ve been in that ISN’T dominated by slash or ONE PAIRING ONLY OTP, SHIP SOMETHING ELSE? TOO BAD GET OUT

There’s a delightful mix of all genders, love and hate, sexual and nonsexual, and vanilla with holy-fuck-what-is-happening.

This is just one of the reasons why I love both the shipping olympics and the fandom on a whole and, despite not contributing as much as I wanted to towards it, I had a lot of fun taking part and meeting new people!
