well lessee I have this and this and a little bit of this
what other kinds of music do you like??
past-lesbianpirates asked: oh hey, just wanted to drop by to tell you that I spent my morning listening to your autoplay and one of your mixes, I think you have a really great taste in music! Do you currently have a song you're completely addicted to? (except Mice on Venus maybe, heh) Do you sometimes find a song, love it so much you have to play it a million times but then you get fed up with it after some time and can't listen to it for like a month or do you play all your music more "evenly"?
Ahhhh thank you! I’m actually very even with my music. A couple of years ago I’d listen to just odd tracks when the fancy struck me, but now I usually listen to whole albums instead, though I still have my favourites from each one in my library.
At the moment, the track I’m listening to most often is probably Ideekay by Ephixa. Also, I’d recommend you check out the rest of the Monstercat channel, as it’s an extremely high-quality EDM label. I’ve very rarely been disappointed by them.
madam-c-the-lady-rhymer asked: Oh, yes, thank you! In particular, I was looking for Splitter - Swimming with Dolphins, Deadmau5 - Cthulu Sleeps, and I believe the other one was Rezonate - Pump It? Thank you so much!
oh hell yes did I mention you have great taste
well, Swimming With Dolphins is on Splitter’s album Lost At Sea, which is my favourite album of his and recently became free to download! Splitter is a very talented musician that I’m honestly really fond of and I think it’d be great for more people to get into his music u_u
As for Cthulhu Sleeps, that’s on the album 4x4=12. I actually bought the CD for that fairly cheap on Amazon (I don’t know where you live so I just put in the US link since that’s the majority of tumblr right there). I could send you the file if you really wanted it, though!
As for Pump It!, that’s from the EDM music label Monstercat. I’ve been keeping track of it from the get-go and it’s been growing in popularity, so now’s a good time to get into it. You can buy the track separately, however, I’d recommend you buy the full album it’s from, as that’ll give you a lot more for your money’s worth (and imo it is more than worth it).
Since Rezonate is a pretty obscure artist, I’d probably have too much of a guilty conscience to send you the track, but I can certainly recommend a number of similar tracks which are free to download!
wow this ended up being wordy as fuq
Anonymous asked: oh yes some soothing music would be really nice thank you glubglub
one two three four five six seven eight
that should be plenty uvu I hope you enjoy!
darkri asked: I'm back :D. Please tell me more about your favorite songs.
Well, as you can probably tell, I like a lot of stuff. It’s extremely difficult for me to narrow down everything to just a handful of songs, as music in general is a very big part of my life! I suppose I’ll start with Homestuck though, since you appear to be a Homestuck yourself!
Well, let’s see, in the main album series my favourites are probably the following, in order of release date:
And on the non-serial side of things:
But honestly like 95% of Homestuck music is really quality and the rest is just terrible on purpose. As for stuff outside of that, it’s a real mishmash of various things. Let me just make a really long list for you to filter through.
And you know what I’m just stopping there because if I keep going this will be just WAY TOO LONG and I am NOT LETTING THAT HAPPEN. If you want more (yes I have that many favourites stop looking at me like that) then feel free to come back later, mkay? uvu
naturallysilver replied to your post: Whao, lapfox trax? My interest in your musical taste has dramatically increased. Can I hear some suggestions? o:
Totally cool with music splarges. Looking at that tag first thing I noticed was the Frozen Synapse stuff, for which I’ve owned the soundtrack of for a while. So I think we’ve got fairly similar music tastes. Go ahead and show me what’cha got.
Well let’s see here. On the EDM side of things I’d highly recommend you check out Monstercat Media, as they take up a good chunk of my music. In addition to that, I think you should take at LeMusikMedia, as they’re pretty new but have released some damn good quality stuff so far. If you want any specific artists then I’d be glad to dish a few names out for you, as I do have my favourites.
On the more laid-back side of things, I’d highly recommend both C418 and Splitter. I bought a copy of C418’s 72 Minutes Of Fame and was very happy with it! It incorporates a wide range of styles and is a very well-executed album; the pacing from song to song in particular is very nicely done. As for Splitter, I find it practically impossible to tire of listening to Lost At Sea - it has become one of my favourite albums, and luckily Splitter just made all their albums free to download!
AMBROSIA is also definitely worth a listen, as are zircon’s Antigravity, Med School Music’s Blood Pressure, Feint’s Clockwork Hearts, Muzzy’s Colours & Distractions, Screamcatcher’s Do Without, Trifonic’s Emergence, can you tell I’m just scrolling through my whole library right now? Honestly there is just so much music I could recommend. I’d say go listen to what I’ve listed so far and then come back for more later if you want to, ahaha!
